Nick Cave: Sojourn Identity and Environment

The identity for Nick Cave: Sojourn had multiple components. The first being a title wall covered in kaleidoscopic wallpaper with the show-title’s letterforms pierced through giving the viewer a glimpse into the gallery. The logotype was also die-cut into the cover of the exhibition catalog. Second Skin, an interactive installation, follows the immersive exhibition. The room is designed with various elements of Cave’s work from the kaleidoscopic wallpaper to the pixelated FLOR-covering. The floor to ceiling felt wall was inspired by analog grade school activities and features silhouettes of soundsuits that can be covered with colorful felt cutouts.
